The Cadillac Margarita

Ah… the Margarita!

So the crew over at Lords of the Drinks asked me about an aphrodisiac drink. And I said:

I don’t know if you’ve ever attended an American Cinco de Mayo Party, but when the tequila gets flowing, people get REAL friendly.  The Margarita is the best delivery method for tequila.  Plus, it’s sweet and salty, which get tongues wagging and lips licked.  😉
And I’m convinced that one of the reasons my wife *is* my wife is because of the Margarita.

To ensure that pants will be flying off, boot the Triple Sec in favor of Grand Marnier in your Margarita; aka:

The Cadillac Margarita

• 1 ounce lime juice -Use fresh Key Lime juice for a refreshing bev, use Rose’s Sweetened for a sweet treat
• 1 ounce Grand Marnier
• 1 1/2 ounces parts Silver/Blanco Tequila -Use the expensive stuff! Think Don Julio or Don Eduardo.

Add ice to your shaker.  Add all ingredients to the shaker. Shake until your hands hurt form the cold, then shake for ten seconds longer. Strain and serve Up in a chilled cocktail glass rimmed with salt.  Garnish with a slice or wedge of lime.
